Interpol - Pioneer to the falls

Show me the dirt pile
And I will pray
That the soul can take
Three stowaways
You vanish with no guile
And I will not pay
But the soul can wait
The soul can wait
Your hair is still pretty
What with all these leafs
We'll be fine
We'll be fine
But if it's still pretty
What with all these leafs
We'll be fine... Oh
And supervised

Show me the dirt pile
And I will pray
That the soul can take
Three stowaways
Then you vanish with no guile
And I will not pay
But the soul can wait
I felt you so much today

I know you try
You try straight into my heart
You fly straight into my heart
Girl I know you try
You fly straight into my heart
You fly straight into my heart
But here comes the fault

So much for me believing that soul
So much of dreams to see are not prepared to know
Your heart makes me feel
Your heart makes me moan
For always and ever I'll never let go
Always concealed safe and inside, alive
The men of Interpol have kept us waiting three years for their third album, Our Love to Admire. "Pioneer to the Falls", the disc's moody (what else?) opener, doesn't rush to make its point, either. Nor does it disappoint. A dark, brittle guitar line similar to pre-Turn on the Bright Lights live rarity "Cubed" (also known as "Mascara") joins sparse piano and melancholy strings before Paul Banks' harrowed, Jim Morrison-like voice comes in, again beseeching patience: "The soul can wait." Interpol's rhythm section enters a verse later, then drops to a heartbeat on a bridge that floats in space-- "You fly straight into my heart," Banks croons, distant yet vulnerable-- until at last a trilling guitar solo soars above it all, for an emotional effect similar to the one generated by the solo on Radiohead's "Creep". "I felt you so much today," Banks concludes, as rumbling toms and rising orchestration contrast with that stately opening riff, betraying impatience, perhaps, but no hurry...(Posted by Marc Hogan - Pitchfork)
I can listen to this song over and over, specially that part when he sings: you fly straight into my heart....

Gerard Butler at the airport

This!!!!!!! is!!!!!!!!!!! Gerard!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gerard Butler, aka King Leonidas in 300, takes to the skies and departs from LAX airport on Wednesday in Los Angeles. The Scottish stud was recognized by fans while waiting on the security line. Friendly as always, he took the time to greet them before passing through the metal detectors.
Gerard, 37, was in Japan earlier this week for a 300 promotional tour. You can check out videos of his appearances here.
Thanks to Jared!

No one would listen
No one but her
Heard as the outcast hears.

Shamed into solitude
Shunned by the multitude
I learned to listen
In my dark, my heart heard music.

I longed to teach the world
Rise up and reach the world
No one would listen
I alone could hear the music

Then at last, a voice in the gloom
Seemed to cry "I hear you;
I hear your fears,
Your torment and your tears."

She saw my loneliness
Shared in my emptiness
No one would listen
No one but her
Heard as the outcast hears...

You're a rising star
You're the getaway car
You're the line in the sand
When I go to far
You're the swimming pool
On an august day
And you're the perfect thing to see

And you play it coy but it's kinda cute
Oh when you smile at me you know exactly what you do
Baby don't pretend that you don't know it's true
Cause you can see it when I look at you

And in this crazy life
And through these crazy times
It's you
It's you
You make me sing
You're every line
You're every word
You're everything

You're a carousel
You're a wishing well
And you light me up
When you ring my bell
You're a mystery
You're from outer space
You're every minute of my every day...

You're simply the best

I call you when I need you, my heart's on fire
You come to me, come to me wild and wild
When you come to me
Give me everything I need
Give me a lifetime of promises and a world of dreams
Speak a language of love like you know what it means
And it can't be wrong
Take my heart and make it strong baby

You're simply the best, better than all the rest
Better than anyone, anyone I've ever met
I'm stuck on your heart, and hang on every word you say
Tear us apart, baby I would rather be dead

In your heart I see the star of every night and every day
In your eyes I get lost, I get washed away
Just as long as I'm here in your arms
I could be in no better place

You're simply the best, better than all the rest
Better than anyone, anyone I've ever met
I'm stuck on your heart, and hang on every word you say
Tear us apart, baby I would rather be dead

Each time you leave me I start losing control
You're walking away with my heart and my soul
I can feel you even when I'm alone
Oh baby, don't let go...
Ele não é lindo? Gerard Butler, simply the best!

Gerard Butler

Date of Birth:
13 November 1969, Glasgow, Scotland, UK
Birth Name
Gerard James Butler
Nickname
Gerry
Height
6' 2" (1.88 m)
First movie role was in Mrs. Brown (1997).
Poked in the eye with a wooden stake during rehearsals for the play Coriolanus.
On the first day of shooting his film debut in Mrs. Brown (1997) he had to bound naked into a freezing sea and as a result developed hypothermia.
While filming Mrs. Brown (1997), saved a young boy from drowning in the river Tay and recieved a "Certificate Of Bravery" from The Royal Humane Society.
Graduated from Glasgow University with a law degree
Did not see his father from the age of 2 until he turned 16.
His eyes are grey/green in color but often appear blue on screen.
Was at one time the lead singer for a Scottish rock band named Speed, although music eventually became his second love after acting.
Has done 5 films in which his character's name is in the title: Dracula 2000 (2000), Attila (2001/I) (TV), The Phantom of the Opera (2004), Beowulf & Grendel (2005)
He has quickly gained a reputation as one of the nicest actors around, as he always takes time to socialize with fans and hangs out with crew members as much as co-stars on film sets.
Was chosen as the most attractive man of 2005 by Hello! Magazine
Prefers to be called Gerry. He does this because he notices that many people (especially Americans) struggle with pronouncing "Gerard".
Divides his time between London, New York and Los Angeles.
"I think it’s one of the nicest privileges as an actor is to know that you can move people in one moment, make them think about their lives, or make them laugh or make them cry or make them understand something. Or just make them feel something because I think so many of us, including myself, spend too much time not feeling enough, you know?" -- About.Com ( March 3, 2005)"The fact that you touched somebody’s soul or made them laugh—that’s a wonderful thing." -- 7x7 San Francisco ( April 1, 2005)
"To be honest, I am very much a bad boy, but with a good heart." -- Glamour UK (September 2003)
What's the story behind the ring and bracelet he always wears? This quote is from our June 2004 interview with Gerard:
" ANSWER: "You know, funnily enough, .the reason I met Tonya [his assistant] was though an ex-girlfriend of mine.who I went out with for a couple of years and she got me [the ring] after two weeks of going out, it freaked me out because it's inscripted 'Dedicated to the one I love.' We were only seeing each other for two weeks and I was like 'wait a minute, wait a minute, are you saying you love me?' She had one from a previous boyfriend. So it was kind of strange that she had one from a previous boyfriend"
